In order to more accurately identify expressions, most facial Expression Recognition and Analysis systems rely on some form of intensity control. This intensity control usually allows for the detection of only a few types of expressions per frame. However, this study has found that another type of expression called encounter face can be detected without relying on intensity control. This type of face is when a person is Meeting someone for the first time or when they are interacting with someone new.
A computational approach to Identify Risk in Construction Projects
A study about the development of mathematical methods for identifying and controlling systems is ongoing within theSwedes University in Linköping, Sweden. The study is focusing on the use of algorithms to identify risk in systems, and the Construction Industry Improvement Technique (CIIT) has been utilized as a tool to further this research. The present article will give an overview of how computational techniques have been used in this study, and also highlight some of the major findings as well as future directions for this research. To date, the study has shown that a mathematical approach can be used to identify risk associated with complex construction projects, which could potentially lead to savings and better patient care.
